George Miller's Three Thousand Years of Longing to Premiere at Cannes

The lineup for the 75th Cannes Film Festival was announced Thursday morning. George Miller's highly anticipated Three Thousand Years of Longing is set to premiere out of competition at the festival. The film is a fantasy drama romance starring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba. Set in Istanbul, Three Thousand Years of Longing centers around a scholar (Swinton) and a djinn (Elba) who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. The encounter in a hotel room leads to an aftermath nether planned.
