Defense attorney,  Richard Ramsay,  faces a hopeless  case  defending  Mike  (17),  who’s charged with murdering  his  father,  Boone, and the evidence against him is substantial: a knife with his finger prints and a near confession. On top of that, Mike hasn’t spoken a word since the day of the crime. With no information from his client,  Ramsay has little to work off, so he undermines the witness testimonies by detecting their half-truths, and in so doing he weakens the prosecution’s case. But it’s Mike who ends up telling the biggest lie of all. Or is it?
