'Fingernails' and 'Finalmente L'Alba' Selected for Telluride Film Festival

\The Telluride Film Festival, a cornerstone of the fall festival circuit, is marking its 50th edition with a rich lineup. The festival, running until Labor Day, features world premieres including Alexander Payne's "The Holdovers" (Focus Features), Emerald Fennell’s "Saltburn" (Amazon), and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin’s narrative "Nyad" (Netflix).
Director Nikou follows up his debut success with "Apples" with a star-studded cast—Jessie Buckley, Riz Ahmed, Jeremy Allen White, Luke Wilson, and Annie Murphy—in his second film "Fingernails." The thought-provoking romantic drama explores a unique institution testing romantic love's presence among couples.
In the golden era of Rome’s Cinecittà in the 1950s, "Finalmente L'Alba" features Rebecca Antonaci alongside Lily James, Joe Keery, Rachel Sennott, Alba Rohrwacher, and Willem Dafoe. The film follows Antonaci as Mimosa, a teenage ingenue, through a coming-of-age adventure in one night on a classic swords-and-sandals set.
