Woody Harrelson Deep-Sea Diver Thriller ‘Last Breath’ Getting Winter 2025 Release From Focus Features

Focus Features has slated "Last Breath," a production by Longshot Films and Dark Castle Entertainment, for release on February 28, 2025. Currently, this thriller is the only major film set for that weekend.

"Last Breath" stars Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, and Finn Cole and is directed by Alex Parkinson. Based on a true story, the film follows a deep-sea diver who faces fierce elements to save a crewmate trapped beneath the ocean's surface.

The movie was developed by Paul and David Brooks of Longshot Films, a father-and-son duo. Producers include Hal Sadoff, Norman Golightly, Jeremy Plager, Stewart le Marechal, Al Morrow, and Anna Mohr-Pietsch, along with the Brooks team. It is adapted from the 2019 documentary of the same name.

Longshot and Dark Castle co-financed the film.

UIP is handling the offshore release in select territories, while FilmNation managed international sales for the rest of the world.

Paul Brooks and Focus Features previously collaborated on "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" and "Champions."
